To be the best that we can

This is not a poem but a song of 1 Malaysia created by Pop Shouvit band from Malaysia. The reason I’m so interested of this song because the word use, “we go up and never go down and when we together we are strong.” The words mean that we cannot achieve anything if we are not together. Besides, this sentence also means respect and trust between other races. It same like what our Prime Minister do for our country. It called “1 Malaysia”. 'Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan' or 'People First, Performance Now', slogan used to achieve this in 1Malaysia. 1Malaysia is an on-going political program designed by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato sri Najib Tun Razak on September 16, 2008.

              There are three main purposes to build this program 1Malaysia. Firstly, the Government serves the needs of all communities through the establishment of policies and actions that lead to that direction. Secondly, the people or leaders not just confine their actions to the interests of their race only but must go beyond other races. Thirdly, this program will be implemented if there is mutual trust and respect each other races. So, the Malays, for example, are asked not only to think within the scope of their nations. They were also asked to not only restrict their actions to matters of importance to them immediately. So did the other races, they claimed to do the same. From that words ""And we took actions based on the needs of all ethnic groups in our country"" is more focused and concerned with the leadership. This paragraph means that the country's leadership will serve and meet the needs and rights of all races and ethnic groups in Malaysia. For example today we have clinic one Malaysia and restaurant one Malaysia to support our prime minister slogan.

             

              Based on the description above, can be formulated 1Malaysia basically means ""the people and leaders to act and think in the interests of all Malaysians and not confine the actions and thoughts in the walls of their ethnicity"". Thank you.
